Dr Emma Haverhoek



Dermatologist, Malvern Dermatology. Visiting Medical Specialist, Royal Adelaide Hospital. Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

Dr Emma Haverhoek is an experienced Adelaide-trained dermatologist, having pursued her interest in this field since completing medical school in 2000. Her areas of expertise include both medical and surgical dermatology, as well as women’s and paediatric dermatological conditions. Other interests include but are not limited to; acne management, hair loss disorders and diagnosing and treating skin cancers. At Malvern Dermatology she is able to offer both dermatologic surgery where required plus other procedures such as botox injections for excessive axillary sweating.

Emma is the current SA Director of Training and enjoys being involved in medical education at state and College level. She was on the editorial expert committee of “Therapeutic Guidelines – Dermatology” volume 4 published in 2016, and has published articles in several peer-reviewed journals.

Emma is married to Pieter and they have two young daughters. Her spare time is filled with catching up with family and friends, as well as pilates, tennis and hiking.


Dr Rachel Manifold



Dr Rachel Manifold is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia.

Dr Manifold completed her undergraduate medical degree from the University of Adelaide in 1997. Moving to Sydney in 1998, Dr Manifold researched photodynamic therapy, a type of treatment for skin cancer and was awarded a Master of Science (Medicine) from the University of New South Wales in 2003. At the same time Dr Manifold trained as as an anatomical pathologist. Dr Manifold trained and practiced as an anatomical pathologist at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (Sydney), Royal Melbourne Hospital (Melbourne) and the Flinders Medical Centre (Adelaide)

Dr Manifold commenced training in dermatology in 2007 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2012. Since 2012, Dr Manifold has worked as a consultant dermatologist in private practice and as a Visiting Medical Specialist to Flinders Medical Centre. Dr Manifold’s interests are general dermatology, paediatric dermatology and surgical dermatology. Dr Manifold is also involved in teaching dermatology registrars, junior doctors and medical students.

Dr Manifold is a keen sportswoman, a love which was fostered by growing up in a small country town on the Eyre Peninsula. Dr Manifold and her husband have three young daughters who keep them busy. Spending time with family and friends and pursuing a healthy, active lifestyle is what motivates Dr Manifold and she is keen to bring this holistic approach to her work as a dermatologist.


Dr Matthew Holman

Cosmetic Physician

Dr Matthew Holman is a graduate of Adelaide University and Flinders University Medical School. In addition to his bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees, he holds a Bachelor of Health Science and a Master of Surgery. He has trained extensively in ophthalmology (eye surgery) and since 2013 has expanded his interest into cosmetic medical practice, specialising in skin treatments as well as non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical eye rejuvenation.

He is board certified by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and is actively involved in medical education. He is faculty and trainer with the international cosmetic medicine education and training organisation: International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science (IFAAS).

He has a passion for his profession of cosmetic medicine as both an art and a science. Dr Holman believes that to achieve the best possible outcome for his patients it first begins with the base of expert medical knowledge and experience, and then the artistic eye to apply this skill to result in a natural and tailored outcome for each and all of his patients.

Together with fellow cosmetic physician Dr Adam Rish he has introduced many new technologies to Australia including the radio frequency device Agnes and the nitrogen atmospheric plasma device Plasma BT. Agnes and Plasma BT are unique modalities for treating numerous skin conditions as well as providing non-surgical treatment options for wrinkle reduction, skin tightening and fat reduction including eye and facial wrinkles, lower eyelid eye bags and jowls.

He has also held numerous leadership, representational and advisory roles within his profession, and is a medical advisor to Medical Insurance Group Australia (MIGA).
